Annual Translational Biomedical Science Symposium
Each October, we gather our TBS trainees to attend a keynote speech, career development workshops, and present the impressive projects they have been working on for the past year. This year’s retreat went magnificently, and all of the work the trainees have been putting in truly shows.
This year, the annual symposium welcomed keynote speaker, Saurabh Mehta, MBBS, MS, ScD - Associate Profession of Global Health, Epidemiology, and Nutrition in the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University. Dr. Mehta spoke on the importance of translational science and technology in transforming community interventions. We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Mehta for attending and sharing his experience and knowledge with our trainees.
We would also like to thank TBS trainees, Denisse Vega Ocasio and Raven Osborn; they presented a wonderful, student-run workshop on effective scientific communication. See photos from last year's symposium.
