Email Accounts

Graduate Students

New SMD graduate students who are not University employees are issued free email accounts administered by the Edward G. Miner Library. The Office for Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs will use these student accounts to alert you about University events, important announcements and policy changes. Your new URMC address and password will be mailed to you before Orientation. Please notify the Office for Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs immediately if you experience problems with your email account.

Postdoctoral Appointees and PREP Trainees

Email account set-up is coordinated by your Department Administrator.

Identification Cards

Photo identification cards may be obtained in the Medical Center ID Office.

  • Location: ground floor, room G-7009
  • Phone: (585) 273-2000
  • Office hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

The Human Resources policy on Identification Cards applies to all graduate students, postdoctoral appointees and PREP trainees.
