Medical Student Education Update
May 2022 - Volume VlI, Issue 3
University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry Policies
The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (URSMD) has updated and revised important medical student policies. Students, residents and faculty should be aware of these policies to optimize the learning environment. Policies and Procedures are located, in full, in the URSMD student handbook.
The Teacher-Learner polices can be directly accessed by visiting: https://mdpolicies.urmc.edu.
The Self-Study Task Force will define priority areas and implement changes before we submit our institutional self-study summary report to the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) in June 2023. LCME conducts a peer-review process every eight years in which a survey team makes a recommendation on the medical school's performance. The LCME reviews the team's report and makes final decisions about performance and accreditation.
