Welcome to the Community Engagement Core (CEC)
The CEC of the University of Rochester's Environmental Health Sciences Center (EHSC), which is located in the Department of Environmental Medicine, is a source of environmental health information for the entire community. Our programs are designed to respond to the needs of students, teachers, health professionals, public officials and other members of our community. We work with CECs at other NIEHS-funded centers to leverage scientific expertise and support national outreach efforts.
CEC Goals
- To address our community’s environmental health issues and concerns.
- To provide community groups, decision-makers, educators, and public health professionals with timely environmental health information.
Community Projects & Partnerships
The CEC is actively working on projects that address environmental health issues such as air quality, home-based environmental health hazards, lead poisoning prevention and more.
