LOMP is a hub for research, translation, and community engagement around how different types of plastics enter and move through the Great Lakes ecosystems and how microplastics may affect human health under different climatic conditions.

WHAT IS LOMP?

LOMP is a hub for research, translation, and engagement to inform strategies to prevent negative impacts of microplastics on human health in the context of environmental change in the Great Lakes region. It is one of six Centers for Oceans and Human Health jointly funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
