Health and Dental Insurance Plan
Group health insurance plans are available for eligible employees, their spouses, and dependent children. Employees can chose among varying levels of medical and dental coverage to find the plan that best fits their individual and family needs. All medical options are available on a pre-tax basis. Employees have access to a provider network which allows for quality care at a lower cost.
The Transparency in Coverage final rules require certain group health plans to disclose on a public website information regarding in-network provider rates and historical out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services in two separate machine-readable files (MRFs). The MRFs for the benefit package options under the Highland Hospital Welfare Benefit Plan are linked below:
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA)
Full- and part-time employees may elect these savings accounts to have money deducted pre-tax to help pay for certain qualified health or dependent care expenses.
Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance
To those employees who qualify, short- and long-term disability insurance is available to help protect against the loss of salary or wages if you become disabled.
Life Insurance
Eligible employees are covered by a group term life insurance policy. You can also purchase supplemental life insurance in varying amounts for yourself and dependents.
Paid Time-off
Highland offers a competitive paid time-off allotment for all eligible employees for vacation, holidays, and sick time.
Tuition Assistance
Highland encourages you to continue your professional development through the Tuition Assistance Program.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
This free and confidential service provides information, education, counseling, and support for you and your family members.
Retirement Plan
The benefit provided by this plan is based on an established formula, which incorporates length of service, age, and average salary. Employees are automatically enrolled in the retirement plan after being employed by Highland for two years and completing 1,000 hours per calendar year. Employees also have the opportunity to make contributions into this plan via payroll deduction.
