Rural Practice - Nurse Practitioner Residency Program

We have been awarded the Advanced Nursing Education Nurse Practitioner Residency Integration Program grant from HRSA, allowing us to extend to a rural practice setting. In partnership with Tri-County Family Medicine, headquartered in Dansville, N.Y., we can offer a broader learning experience with a rural track.

We are currently recruiting one FNP graduates to live and practice in the Tri-County community and two FNP residents to practice at Highland Family Medicine. Working closely with our academic partner, the University of Rochester School of Nursing, we have developed a robust curriculum to prepare FNPs for rural and urban practice.
