A small crew will be working inside the new tower on New Year’s Eve, Saturday 12/31. This work is anticipated to cause minimal noise.
During the week, crews will be working inside the building to finish drywall, painting, and various mechanical installations. Outside, the tower crane is still being used to move material to various floors of the building. Window and siding installation continues. Roofing is happening on the 7th floor, bump outs, and the south exit corridor. Crews are also working to install a new manhole and storm piping onsite.
Crews anticipate bringing the site work up to grade in mid-January to allow for settlement over the winter. This will generate minimal vibrations due to bulldozer movement, static roller and dump truck tailgates closing. More communications will be sent out through this blog as the work gets closer.
In February, crews anticipate closing Mt Vernon for a week to remove the tower crane, similar to the install. More communications will be available via this blog as the time draws closer. keep in mind that weather may have a significant impact on the crane removal.
This work will remain the same between now and New Year’s Day. Additional blog posts will be provided next week if this changes.
