No Work Saturday 2/19
There is no work scheduled this weekend.
During the week, the tower crane will be in operation installing roofing. The 7th floor concrete slab installation is tentatively scheduled for Friday, February 25th starting at 7 a.m. Concrete finishing has the potential to run late into the night, but will not run past the City of Rochester noise ordinance of 10 p.m. Crews will also be preparing for concrete slab pours with shear studs, rebar, fire stopping sleeves, embedments, and rebar. The stair risers are being filled with concrete for easier access from floor to floor. New tower 7th and 8th floor temporary roofing / vapor barrier is also being installed (weather dependent activity). Interior and exterior framing has started on the 1st and 2nd floors.
For the 7th floor concrete pour, crews anticipate having the concrete pump on the South side of the new tower (engine running the during the entire pour), 2 concrete trucks rotating in and out at the concrete pump (engines running), 1 concrete truck washing out (engine running) and one staging on the hospital side of Bellevue Drive in front of the trailers. Sometimes, due to traffic and how the pour is going, crews may end up with 2 trucks staging on Bellevue Drive for a short period of time. Crews are in constant communication with the batch plant adjusting truck spacing depending on how the pour is progressing.
There will be a flag person at the South Avenue entrance backing in the concrete trucks and prioritizing ambulance access.
Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.
