Saturday Work 2/4
Crews will be onsite Saturday 2/4 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. installing fiber cement panels (weather depending).
During the week, crews continue to paint, and install various mechanicals inside the building. Outside, crews will be using the tower crane to move materials from the ground to various floors of the building. They will also be working on window and siding installation as well as roofing on the 7th floor and bump outs.
We are anticipating bringing the site work up to grade next week to allow for settlement over the winter since we cannot utilize vibratory compaction. This will generate minimal vibrations due to bulldozer movement, static roller and dump truck tailgates closing, more to come as we get closer. This work was not able to be completed last week due to the weather.
Tentatively, crews anticipate the tower crane removal starting the week of 2/20, which will include closing Mt. Vernon for roughly a week, similar to when the crane was installed. Highland will work closely with our neighbors to communicate details regarding the crane removal and road closure over the next two weeks.
