Saturday Work and Manhole Installation
Crews will be onsite this Saturday, 1/28 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. working on fiber cement panels on the north and west sides of the tower.
During the week, crews will be continuing with various drywall installation, painting, and electrical work inside the building. Outside, the tower crane is still being used to move materials from the ground to various floors. Window and siding installation continues as well as roofing on the 7th floor.
We are anticipating bringing the site work up to grade next week to allow for settlement over the winter since we cannot utilize vibratory compaction. This will generate minimal vibrations due to bulldozer movement, static roller and dump truck tailgates closing, more to come as we get closer. This work was not able to be completed last week due to the weather.
In addition, site work to install a new manhole and storm piping along with raising the grade will commence. A third party vendor will be on site monitoring vibrations.
Tentatively, crews anticipate closing Mt. Vernon for a week to remove the tower crane starting on 2/20, similar to when the crane was installed. More information will be available on this move as the time draws closer.
