Saturday Work and Raising the Site Grade
Crews will be onsite this Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. while they continue to install roofing and fiber cement panels on the sides of the building.
During the week, crews will be using the tower crane to move materials from the ground to various floors of the building. Window, siding, and roofing installation continues as well as site work to install a new manhole and storm piping.
Crews will be bringing the site work up to grade next week to allow for settlement over the winter since they cannot utilize vibratory compaction. This will generate minimal vibrations due to bulldozer movement and use of the static roller. The work should be starting Tuesday, 1/17 and be finishing on Tuesday, 1/24. Vibration monitoring will be in place during this activity.
The tower crane is now scheduled to be removed the week of February 20. Mt. Vernon Ave. will be closed for a week or so during this process, similar to when the crane was installed. More details will be posted on this blog as the date gets closer.
