No Work This Weekend Saturday 3/12 or Sunday 3/13

There will be no work on site this weekend.

During the week, the tower crane will be operating with roofing and other activities on site. Stair risers are being filled with concrete for easier access and are tentatively scheduled for Friday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 15th starting at 7 a.m. Concrete finishing has the potential to run late into the night, but will be finished before the City of Rochester noise ordinance of 10 p.m. An temporary extra deck called a Preston deck will be installed on the side of the new tower this week using the tower crane. Layout is being installed on the 5th, 6th and 7th floor with top track. Interior and exterior framing is being installed on the 1st and 2nd floors. Swing stage scaffolding will start to be installed next week on the east side, working their way around to the north side.

Please keep in mind that for the concrete pours, crews anticipate having the concrete pump on the south side of the new tower (engine running the during the entire pour), 2 concrete trucks rotating in and out at the concrete pump (engines running), 1 concrete truck washing out (engine running) and one staging on the hospital side of Bellevue Drive (Engine) in front of the trailers. Sometimes due to traffic and how the pour is going, crews may end up with 2 trucks staging on the hospital side of Bellevue Drive for a short period of time. Crews will be in constant communication with the batch plant adjusting truck spacing depending on how the pour is progressing.

A flag person will be at the South Avenue entrance backing in the concrete trucks and prioritizing ambulance access.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.
