In Service to Our Community
As health care professionals we have dedicated our lives to caring for our community. Our work each day centers around caring for patients with skill and compassion. But for many of you that dedication extends beyond your work day. So many of our physicians, APPs, nurses, and Highland staff are involved in Highland leadership committees, professional organizations and community organizations that help fight poverty, alleviate health care disparities, ensure food security and so much more. That kind of compassion is most likely one of the reasons you turned to health care as a profession and a reason that compels you to do even more. We are grateful to each of you who volunteer your time for these committees and organizations.
Currently Highland is seeking information about individual employees, interdisciplinary teams, and departments that give their time and talents to help others in the community. If you volunteer at a non-profit, help an organization through a religious organization's community service efforts, are a mentor at a school, or engage in a similar activity of helping others, contact Highland Internal Communications Manager Patty Corvaia at patrizia_corvaia@urmc.rochester.edu. This information will be included in an archive being developed by Highland's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council.
