Vascular & Interventional Radiology
UR Medicine Vascular & Interventional Radiology provides a wide range of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic services. The minimally invasive procedures are often alternatives to surgery. Image guidance is performed with fluoroscopy, ultrasonography, and computed tomography.
Diverse and specialized services are offered including routine line placement, angioplasty, thrombolysis and thrombectomy, carotid and aortic stenting, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) placement, uterine fibroid embolization, and conventional diagnostic angiography.
Additional procedures include core or fine needle biopsies, diagnostic and therapeutic fluid aspirations, catheter placement for drainage of infected fluid collections, treatment of catheter-induced pseudo-aneurysms with thrombin injection, and percutaneous and intraoperative radiofrequency ablations of liver masses.
Please review our Vascular & Interventional Radiology patient brochures for more details about the services we provide.
