Papasergi-Scott Lab
Welcome to the Papasergi-Scott Lab
The Papasergi-Scott laboratory explores molecular mechanisms and spatiotemporal aspects of G protein signaling pathways using structural information from cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), leveraged with biochemical, cellular, and pharmacologic studies. The lab uncovers the dynamic changes of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), G proteins, and downstream effector proteins from molecular detail to organization within signaling complexes and cellular microdomains with the goal of using research insights to uncover novel therapeutic targets and treatments and improve our understanding of disrupted G protein signaling in disease.
