Inclusivity of Sports and Exercise Medicine

Dr. Rizzone co-led a research summit on Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in 2023 and she co-authored some of papers which have been published as a result of this Summit. She is a member of the Orthopaedic’s Department’s Diversity Committee and has spoken about increasing funding for girls and women in sport. She has continued to focus on this area, working with the URM CHAMPP program to improve access to sports bras to local students in the Rochester City School District.
