Access to Miner Library Resources

Access to the library’s electronic resources is restricted to current active University of Rochester faculty (including emeritus faculty), staff, and students with URMC or UR Active Directory (AD) credentials.

License agreements do not include guests or retirees.

Due to a recent change in login credentials for library electronic resources NetID is no longer accepted. Users are now required to log in with AD credentials - same as your login for your UR email account.

Licenses do allow for onsite walk-ins so these users may access library electronic resources from physical workstations within the Miner Library and save or print materials using self-service printers. There is a fee for printing.

Access library resources offsite through the Library website. The library's website provides seamless access to electronic resources through the Proxy Server. When you click a link to a database, article, e-book or e-journal  you will be prompted to log in with your URMC or UR Active Directory username and password. After logging in, you will be directed automatically to the desired resource.

URMC AD Accounts

Miner Library does not determine access privileges. It is dependent upon your having an active University of Rochester status with AD credentials. If you are not sure if you have AD credentials, you can use the myIdentity Self Service page to verify and, if necessary, update your password.

If you are working with a URMC department that requires you to have access to library electronic resources, please contact your department administrator for further assistance with obtaining a status that would provide you with AD credentials.

For other questions, contact URMC Information Systems Division (ISD) via email ISD HelpDesk or by phone at (585) 275-3200.

UR AD accounts are supported by University IT. Contact them directly via email UnivIT Help Desk or by phone at (585) 275-2000.
