Faculty Development

Faculty development zoom meeting

Catherine Gracey, M.D.I really enjoy working on faculty development—we have an amazing faculty group here in the Department of Medicine, people who take great care of patients, great care of each other, and who love to teach. We want all our faculty to have careers that are professionally satisfying. My goal is to help them get where they want to be, through programs that help them develop as educators, mentoring programs for early career faculty, and by strengthening opportunities for development of community."

The Department of Medicine is proud of the high quality of its faculty and is committed to the success of faculty members and their career development.  In order to support professional development and satisfaction throughout one’s career we are pleased to introduce faculty development programs.

Through programs for mentoring, education, skill acquisition and networking, our goal is to aid in the professional development of individual faculty members while also supporting the development of a vibrant scholarly community.

Overview

The Department of Medicine has the largest faculty group in the University, with faculty excelling in education, research, community service, and program administration among other areas.  Faculty have diverse interests and skills and our goal is to support the development of those areas of interest so that all faculty can flourish.
