Aging with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) are experiencing an unprecedented increase in longevity.  Over their lifespan, people with IDD may have multiple chronic conditions impacting health, function, and quality of life.  With the added age-related changes, caring for someone with IDD may become complex.  This project of the FLGEC seeks to educate health professionals, direct support workers, caregivers, and agency service providers about caring for an older adult with IDD.
