The University of Rochester Medical Center has offered midwifery services since 1975. The Midwifery Group, has been in existence since 1992. Here you will find information about our practice and helpful resources to guide you during your journey through pregnancy and womanhood. We look forward to caring for you and getting to know your family. We would like to welcome you to our practice.

"Our practice is based on the belief that pregnancy and childbirth are normal, but unique events in the life of each family. Our role is to safeguard the health of mother and baby while encouraging family participation in decision-making about their care. Our respect for individual differences offers our patients personal, sensitive care." ~ Elizabeth Cooper, C.N.M., Ed.D.

We welcome you to learn more about Strong Memorial Hospital’s Maternity Services, including a virtual tour of the Birth Center. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask your midwife at your next visit!
