He has provided psychiatric consultation in general hospital settings, was a long-time consultant to the Strong Epilepsy Center, has worked extensively with primary care providers including i...
Dr. Mark Nickels has a special interest in working at the interface between psychiatry and medicine/surgery. He has provided psychiatric consultation in general hospital settings, was a long-time consultant to the Strong Epilepsy Center, has worked extensively with primary care providers including in primary care settings, with bariatric surgeons, and with providers in the Cancer Center. Dr. Nickels is the Director of Transplant Psychiatry, having worked with the Liver, Kidney and Heart Transplant programs for over 20 years. And he is the Director of the Inpatient Psychiatric Consultation-Liaison Services.
Dr. Nickels is board certified in both Psychiatry and in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
