~ Child Sexual Abuse
My interests include recognition of risk factors for child abuse and prevention through education of health care providers and families.
I am also interested in assessment and treatment of mental health conditions as part of child abuse evaluation and treatment. Child abuse is a complex, multi-dimensional problem that affects the entire family. It is my hope that providing mental health services may help break the cycle of abuse.
I am also interested in the improving the team approach to child abuse-both the medical team within the hospital and multidisciplinary team of other agencies. By working together we can provide more accurate and complete evaluations as well as much better services for children and families.
