Dr. Yunker graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 1972, and was a General Dentistry Intern at The Genesee Hospital in Rochester, NY for one year from 1972 to 1973. He was a Senior Attending Dentist at The Genesee Hospital and is an Emeritus Member of the Rochester General Hospital Medical and Dental Staff.
Dr. Yunker was awarded the Part-Time Faculty Teaching Award and the Iranpour Award for Excellence in Clinical Education at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health and the Board Excellence Award from the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Yunker maintained a private practice of General Dentistry for thirty years.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity, and a Fellow in the International College of Dentists. At the Eastman Institute for Oral Health, Dr. Yunker is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee, chairman of the Ethics Board, coordinator of the Ethics Course, and a member of the Eastman Institute Leadership Team.
