About Me
With a longstanding passion for health care reform and hopeless causes (see above, Buffalo Bills), Dr. Stornelli has served as President of the local chapter of Physicians for National Health Program, District President of the New York chapter of the American College of Physicians, and is the President-elect of the Highland Hospital Medical Staff. In his spare time he enjoys running half-marathons, skiing, and reading Harry Potter books aloud (complete with an embarrassingly awful British accent) with his two daughters, who beg him to talk normally. Though his father Leo Stornelli continues to work as a full time primary care doctor into his mid-80s, Dr. Stornelli is hoping to retire well before his 80th birthday.

This visit with Dr. Stornelli was for my annual checkup. Since everything else was good, we spent the time discussing my recent breast cancer diagnosis, and treatment. I was concerned, and confused about treatment options, and [...] was not able to explain it to me properly. Dr. Stornelli took the time to help me see things more clearly, and then looked into it further and called me back the next day to discuss his findings. I had an appointment with [...] that afternoon, and he suggested questions that I might ask them. Which they still were not able to give satisfactory answers to. I got more clarification from Dr Stornelli. He has been my Doctor for many years, and I dread the day that he retires.

My visit with Dr Stornelli was as much a discussion of my test results as it was a discussion of my general well-being and how I could maintain the level of superior health that I enjoy as I approach age 82. Dr Stornelli listened intently and offered bits of advice as to what I might do to keep up my level of success.

Dr Stornelli is my primary because he and his staff have treated me with the ultimate respect for 20 years. That I am still alive, active, and in outstanding health at age 81 has something to do with the fine medical care I have received from him over the years. He takes me to task, albeit gently, if I seem to be faltering. I have no recommendations for improvement, as you can see.

Dr. Stornelli weighed up all my symptoms and complaints then ordered a complete blood test to determine exactly what my condition was, and to rule out the most dire possibilities. I was instructed what to look for when I received the results on the portal. The next morning I was called with the complete medical explanation of what the tests showed.

I have had Dr. Stornelli as PCP for at least 25 years. He issued ear drops for me and they did not seem to work after a week. When I told him he stayed overtime to fit me in his schedule to see me ASAP. My wife said no doctor she has had is that attentive to her needs.
