I am fortunate in all-ways that Dr Anthony Sousou is my primary care physician. He closely monitors my health status, guides me In all decision-making, refers me to excellent specialists, and on a human level Is kind, caring, patient, and understanding. I look forward to my annual In-person office visits, as we get to know each other better. During the year, he Is always timely and helpful via My-Chart and on the phone guiding me through health Issues and questions. He is a true partner in my healthy aging. All older adults should be so blessed to have a physician as expert, experienced, and knowledgeable as Dr. Sousou.

From my 1st visit when he took my symptoms very seriously and did not dismiss them as many do to menopause or anxiety but instead sent me immediately to a cardiologist (I had 2 stents placed that day In my LAD), to now when I only see him while In the Rochester area, Dr. Sousou has always been professional, thorough, thoughtful and caring. He is one of the best In my experience!

Came with Sciatica : high pai ; also treating another injury from work through another practice. I prefer not to take narcotics so we are trying Gabapentin.. He understood I prefer not to use narcotics. He has been treating me since 2007. Always attentive, listens and it is a good match for my care.

While this was not true of my last visits, I feel that most of my visits are very rushed. His bedside manner is always professional and he seems to always fully informed of my issues but all too often I have this feeling that he can only spend a certain amount of time with me and then he must go. This can, of course, prevent important conversations relating to preventative health care - e.g. We have Only discuss my weight when I've brought it up. It would seem that taking the time to discuss these issues weight prevent future visits relating to other aliments. Just a thought.

Brief descriptions on lab results about what they are. Most are as useful as alphabet soup in terms of even knowing what it is without looking it up on the internet. Even just a brief description of what each test represents and maybe what the results could mean would be helpful.

After my CHF 23 years ago, my metabolism went haywire and most doctors pointed the easy finger to "overeating" which was not true in my case. The weight crept up and I became obviously bloated and "not me". ( My 7th graders could see it as well as the veterinarianbut I appeared to be an enigma to others.....) Dr. Sousou and an endocrinologist and gastric bypass doctor conferred and got me into gastric bypass surgery.. ....9 years ago and 80 pounds gone and stayed gone. It takes diligence but they believed in me and just did not dismiss me as a middle aged lady who wanted a miracle "cure". There is no way I can thank the 3 of them for giving me the tool to reset my body and move on......likely adding 10 years to my life.

Dr. Sousou believed in me when other doctors tossed me around with the unusual weight gain after having had CHF. He knew I was not a liar...worked with the endocrinologist and gastric bypass doctor......to reverse the situation ( not an eating one) and it saved my life...or probably added 10 years to it. The cardiologist 22 yeas ago wanted me to drive 1.5 hours to come to him specifically......she knew we would be a good match. ALSO the rotating nurse who takes your vitals was WONDERFUL ....had a zap of personality too!!
