11 yrs ago this coming August, I went to see Dr Pitts for what should have been a minor issue with an easy solution. When she knew my issue wasn't what we thought, she didn't brush me off. Instead she ended up allowing me to live longer than anyone could have imagined. My "minor" issue turned out to be Stage 4 Metaststic Breast Cancer. No other doctor is as thorough and thoughtful as she is. I hope every single patient she has knows how special she is and how lucky they are to have her.

Dr Pitts is an exceptional General Practitioner. In my 54 yrs, she is hands down the very best. She's always available- she responds very quickly to MyChart messages and in the 11 yrs of being her patient I have only seen a Nurse Practitioner once.

Dr. Pitts was her usual awesome self! I had a number of health questions/issues and she gave me insights and solutions for all of them, particularly my left hip. I also wanted to mention that she let me come into the office last fall for a flu shot even though she didn't do her clinic last year. Finally, with regard to my wife, [...], they have been working on solutions for her migraines for a while and she seems to have hit on a med that is making an incredible difference in her life! Thank you! Andrea and the nurse also wonderful!

Dr. Pitts is always there for us and our health is number one priority. She recently had a very strong feeling that I may have prostrate cancer and made sure all avenues were covered for my well being even at times I would say no I'm fine. She pushed me along and yes I am now diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Dr Shannon Pitts is the best doctor I have ever had handle my care in my 73 years. She is very attentive, thoughtful, welcoming, remembers what's happening in my life and asks questions to follow up. Reviews my health from A-Z and always answers my questions thoroughly and also asks questions concerning my health and well being since my last appt. She always makes me feel all is well in the world or she'll make it that way!

[...] Dr Pitts provides me 200% of her efforts to help me. She responds to my messages immediately. And she responds on weekends. She helps her patients with mental health issues when she has little or no support from URMC. There is a shortage of psychiatrists for her to refer patients that need that type of care. She gives 200% to help me with these issues that impact me every day.

Dr. Pitts is a truly amazing primary care physician. I understand there's a shortage of PCPs and I feel extremely lucky to have Dr. Pitts as my physician. She has great interpersonal skills but more importantly she is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and always listens without judgement. I can't say enough about how wonderful she is.
