Dr. Howe is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He completed his residency in Family Medicine through St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse. His professional interests include sports medicine and medical ethics. Dr. Howe is board-certified in Family Medicine. He is a member of the faculty of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Outside the office, you'll find him whitewater canoeing, mountain biking, and downhill skiing.

I was able to see the doctor same day on Monday when I called with leg pain. Something happened to my leg 2 months prior and I thought it was getting better but then last week it got worse. I was able to get an appointment same day with Dr. Howe. When I saw him at the end of the visit he recommended an xray. I agreed and said what about now? He immediately made a referral to UR imaging. This was all good. [...] I used mychart to inquire to Dr Howe. By 8:30 am on the next day Friday I had the name and number to call. [...] I asked Dr Howe a couple questions on mychart and he answered in a timely manner.

The office was wonderful and called me first thing Monday morning after I sent a concern over the weekend to Dr. Jack. I am normally very punctual but was 5 minutes late because I had trouble locating the office, (it was my first visit). I gave my name to the receptionist when I got there. I was told to check in at the kiosk. I was still answering questions at the kiosk when Dr. Howe's Nurse called me in. I felt scolded by the doctor because he said I was almost 20 min late, which I was not. He could not do everything that needed to be done at a new patient appointment. I feel that if the doctor was ready for me, the nurse should have come to get me sooner. The receptionist knew I was there. I feel that there was definitely a lack of communication between the front and back. I have worked in a dental office for over 40 years, so I understand that there are patients that are chronically late, I am not one of them.
