Dr. Howe is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. He completed his residency in Family Medicine through St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse. His professional interests include sports medicine and medical ethics. Dr. Howe is board-certified in Family Medicine. He is a member of the faculty of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Outside the office, you'll find him whitewater canoeing, mountain biking, and downhill skiing.

I have only recently started seeing Dr Howe, and in my almost 40 years on this earth, he is the first primary I've ever had that I felt actually genuinely cared to listen to me and resolve my questions. He is thorough, patient, and very warm and caring.

I am normally very punctual but was 5 minutes late because I had trouble locating the office, (it was my first visit). I gave my name to the receptionist when I got there. I was told to check in at the kiosk. I was still answering questions at the kiosk when Dr. Howe's Nurse called me in. I felt scolded by the doctor because he said I was almost 20 min late, which I was not. He could not do everything that needed to be done at a new patient appointment. I feel that if the doctor was ready for me, the nurse should have come to get me sooner. The receptionist knew I was there. I feel that there was definitely a lack of communication between the front and back. I have worked in a dental office for over 40 years, so I understand that there are patients that are chronically late, I am not one of them.
