Most recently, Dr. Goldman completed a study of the resuscitation and transplantation of non-beating donor hearts for the American Heart Association. He is working with Dr. C. Platsoucas in investigating the role of T cell receptor expression in Systemic Sclerosis. They have also studied the role of T cells in Abdominal aortic aneurysm, an antigen driven autoimmune disease, and the immunopathogenesis of chronic cardiac graft rejection. Dr. Goldman's AHA grants have involved the growth and proliferation of human fetal cardiac myocytes, and the role of Insulin-like Growth Factor I in human cardiac cells.
