Dr. Cushman is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services and is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Chief of the Division of Prehospital Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, at the University of Rochester. He has completed an Emergency Medical Services Fellowship ...
Dr. Cushman is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical Services and is a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Chief of the Division of Prehospital Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, at the University of Rochester. He has completed an Emergency Medical Services Fellowship and a Master of Science in Emergency Health Services and Disaster Management from the University of Maryland. He remains a certified Paramedic and is Medical Director for the Monroe-Livingston Region, Monroe County, and dozens of fire and EMS agencies. In addition to administrative medical direction, he provides medical support and scene response for all law enforcement, fire department, and special operations teams in the City of Rochester and Monroe County.

Dr. Cushman has a history of collaborative research on prehospital care and his focus has been on the evaluation and management of victims of trauma. He has received funding from the CDC and NIH, and has served in leadership positions in several local, state, and national organizations.
