Dr. Miller, a Rochester native, specializes in head and neck cancer and microvascular reconstructive surgery. He received his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and comes to the University of Rochester after completing residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and advanced fellowship training in head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction at Ohio State University.

An assistant professor in Otolaryngology, Miller specializes in cancers of the head and neck, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and anterior cranial base surgery, among other areas. His research interests include considering the role of human papilloma virus in head and neck cancers, novel surgical approaches in head and neck surgery, and delineating optimal treatment paradigms for oropharyngeal carcinoma. Dr. Miller has published in many leading journals, and has written several review articles and textbook chapters.

He comes to the University of Rochester after completing residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and has completed advanced fellowship training in head and neck oncologic surgery and microvascular reconstruction at The Ohio State University.

I saw Dr Miller who was my surgeon for my cancer operation. As usual Dr Miller was fantastic as he has been foe this entire procedure. He makes you feel so comfortable during our session, about next steps and and addresses all my questions. I feel so lucky to have him as my doctor / surgeon through these cancer recovery times. Of all the doctors I have, he is the best.
