Celeste Song, MD, MS is Associate Program Director at the University of Rochester Family Medicine Residency. She practices at Highland Family Medicine, one of the two continuity sites for the residency. She attended the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, followed by residency at the Tufts Family Medicine Residency at Cambridge Health Alliance, where she developed her interests in evidence-based medicine and medical education. After residency, she returned to Rochester, NY, for a Faculty Development Fellowship through the University of Rochester Department of Family Medicine, and a Master of Science in Health Professions Education through the University’s Warner School of Education. She coordinates outpatient precepting, leads the evidence-based medicine curriculum, and leads the medical education area of concentration for the residency. Nationally, she is a member of the American Board of Family Medicine National Journal Club Committee. On a personal level, she enjoys vegetable/flower gardening, cooking, reading, biking, yoga, and spending time with family: husband, son, cat Cricket, and miniature dachshund Beowulf.

I love that my care provider Dr. Celeste Song , take the time and listen to my medications affects on my health. I love that she put me on a medical sabbatical regimen to get my stomach obstruction manageable as well has my chronic pain. She refer me to great physical therapy to manage my chronic pains . Dr. Song is an excellent Family Doctor. During my visit on [...], I was able to talk about all my concerns, review my medications, and discuss changes to dosages, etc. In addition, Dr. Song knows me well enough that she suggested that I receive a COVID booster because I would be travelling outside the US the following week. I was so grateful because I had completely forgotten to request it. I can't imagine having a better doctor than Celeste.

Dr. Song is a compassionate, competent and resourceful healthcare professional. She always goes above and beyond to ensure that I'm given as many treatment options as possible and jumps through all the numerous hoops that the insurance company require to get them approved for me. She fights for her patients and advocates for those who are unable to advocate for themselves.In my 50+ years I have known a great many doctors-as both a patient and a fellow healthcare professional.
