About Me

Dr. Abbasi attended undergraduate studies at Northwestern University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Evolutionary Biology. Prior to attending medical school, he worked for two years at the National Institutes of Health as a research fellow, creating a mice model system for a protein ...
Dr. Abbasi attended undergraduate studies at Northwestern University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Evolutionary Biology. Prior to attending medical school, he worked for two years at the National Institutes of Health as a research fellow, creating a mice model system for a protein involved in the cell cycle.

After medical school at the University of Toledo, he completed his residency in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Rochester. In addition, he completed a Master's degree in Public Health at the Community and Preventative Medicine program.

He is currently a Senior Instructor in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
