I am new to this provider/medical group. My previous provider-not part of Strong-retired. My experience with Strong has been so much better in every way. This includes: How the phones are answered. How appointments are scheduled. The professionalism, and knowledge of the staff, the techs, as well as the nurses, PAs and doctors. For the last few years, when a specialist is needed, I have been choosing Strong providers. I am very happy to now have my primary care through Strong as well.

Karen always goes above and beyond what other providers seem to offer. In this case she gave me some information about how to treat the problem but more importantly she got me into see the specialist that I needed within 48 hours rather than waiting almost 3 months. this is a phenomenal service and she always comes through doing things like that to make treatment happen sooner. She does little things that make a difference that doctors generally seem too busy to offer. I cannot say enough good things about Karen.

I brought up a concern I had and not once did she ask why I was concerned. Instead, she listed off reasons, very condescendingly, about what I am doing wrong and what I could do better not even asking if I was already doing those things. She continued on even after I shut down and didn't want to speak to her anymore. I felt unheard and humiliated. I was even more depressed and defeated leaving than when I went in because this was a genuine concern I have. There was no warmth in her. I have never seen her before and will never see her again. I refuse to share my medical records with her.

Karen O'Shea dumbed down real concerns for my health. She was rude, not understanding and didn't listen to me. The experience was no good and I'm still having the health problems I can in to see about. Also my real doctor never has any open appointments to see me. I don't want to continue coming to this practice since the experience was horrible. I went in talking about mental health issues and O'Shea made me feel more depressed by the time I left. This happened because she talked down to me and really didn't understand or connect with anything I had to say. And also she showed no empathy.

I really appreciated that Karen O'Shea carefully looked through my records and was aware of all previous treatments and fully explained past tests and X-Rays etc., quickly got me connected to the necessary provider and gave me treatment to help my issues.

I was sent to PCP office by Psych NP due to severe brain fog. I had an appointment last Monday. When I described it to provider she literally said "what would you like me to do about it", I said my Psych NP recommended I see them and get blood work. She ordered labs. Yesterday, I had stroke symptoms when I was out of town by myself and had to have an MRI at a hospital in [...] after "failing" the neuro test at the urgent care . The records were sent. A stroke ruled out but there is an issue that I was told I have to see a neurologist for now.

My provider is very kind in nature; however, she dismissed a lot of my concerns. I walked away without resolving the issue I was concerned about, and I dread the thought of returning to continue to see if I can be treated. It felt like she just wanted to give a diagnosis and get me out the door. I understand things have been overwhelming in healthcare, but I believe this aspect of patient care could be better.

Whole appointment very smooth. Learning of my symptoms by reviewing a MyChart message (I had laryngitis and could not talk) triage nurse (RN) called my home very quickly after I sent the message and set up appointment with Karen O'Shea the same day. Ms. O'Shea was knowledgeable and a very good listener. I have seen her several times over the years when my doctor's schedule was full. They have excellent staff in this practice!

Ms. O'Shea was thorough and decided to test me for Covid, flu and RSV. When that was ruled out, she advised me of several things and over-the-counter medications that could help me as well as advising me not to talk or whisper if I could avoid it. She then followed up with me on MyChart two different times and asked for updates on my condition. The follow-up was sincerely appreciated.

Karen has an extensive background in cardiac care and provided a very informative, understandable and reassuring explanation, with diagrams, of the reason for my skipped beats, PVCs, how to see them demonstrated on the EKG strip reading printout and pursued further testing to detect any other possible cardiac abnormality that might contribute to my symptoms. I was very fortunate to have such a skilled practitioner available just when I needed it.
