Dr. Michaelides, M.D. completed her medical degree and urological surgery residency at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She is certified by the American Board of Urology and has clinical expertise in all aspects of general urology. Her special interests include interstitial cystitis, urolithiasis, and prostate disorders. In addition, she has interest in and experience with rural healthcare, having worked for the last several years in underserved communities.

Dr. Joy is a great doctor. She never has her hand on the door to leave the minute she walks in. She truly listens and cares. She answers my questions and never says something is stupid. She waits until all my questions are answered even if I say I can't remember and need a minute to think. She cares about how much pain I have been in and does her best to get me in quickly and for the best for me. She is ok with me scheduling appointments ahead of time and then cancelling a week before if I don't need them because she knows I can't always get in (for months!) when I'm in pain. [...] I'm very happy with her. She did my last fulgeration right in her office with lidocaine and it cost me less and was quicker than waiting for a surgery room to open up. I did fine and was pain free right away. She is my angel.

I shared a comment that was told to me by a nurse or officer person said to me, that offended me. The Doctor explained that ItWas office policy now to say they will see me within a months time, If something showed up in my urine sample. She was very helpful.
