Dr. Mathias is a wonderful doctor! When I first met with him 2 years ago, after I was hospitalized 2 days for an episode In which I was close to passing out and vomiting, his keen eye noticed one of my legs seemed a little different than the other. He scheduled an ultrasound stat and discovered a blood clot In my lower left leg. He put me on Eliquis for 3 months. I am very thankful to him!

Dr Mathias was new to me and I was extremely pleased with his methodical approach, thoroughness and how at the start we had a brief exchange as to "who goes first" and we ended up with a very logical, iterative discussion. I tend to come with lots of written notes, checklists and have read up beforehand on issues, and he was patient and responsive to my style.

Dr. Mathias is such a warm and caring doctor! Because of his concern and keen eye when I saw him for the first time In July 2021, he scheduled an ultrasound and found that I had a blood clot In my left leg! And he put me on Eliquis for 3 months. When I thought I had another blood clot in my leg last Jan., Dr. Mathias and his staff were wonderful, on a busy Mon., In getting me scheduled for an ultrasound the very next morning. And Dr. Mathias called me later that day to check on me. I thought that was so kind of him! Fortunately, I did not have another clot. Dr. Mathias Is a wonderful doctor!
