I called the office to schedule an appointment for a condition on my left foot that I had been dealing with for about two weeks. I didn't expect to see Dr. Kudel on the same day let alone see her at all. I just figured I'd be seeing a NP. It was wonderful that Dr. Kudel squeezed me into her busy schedule the same day. And I'm so glad that I got checked out. Kudos to everyone at Leroy Medical Associates.

This was my first ever visit with a medical student present. I am happy to have students participate in my care, but I think it's always important to ask a patient if they are ok with this. The 15 minutes you spend with your provider may be the only 15 minutes you see a doctor in a year, and that time is crucial. A patient may not feel comfortable disclosing personal information in front of a student they have just met. I was not asked if I was comfortable with having a student present, and I don't think that's appropriate patient care.

While my doctor is nice, pleasant, and upbeat, I always leave feeling as if she doesn't care about me or my health. I've had GP's in the past that I could tell cared and went the extra mile to diagnose, explain, order tests, etc. I switched to Dr.Kudel when I moved to LeRoy but haven't been happy with her care. I always feel like I have to diagnose myself. Is she just young and inexperienced? I feel it's strange that you don't even put on a gown for a physical, or any other visit. I feel as if she really doesn't want to get too close. I think often about switching to another doctor. I want to advocate for myself.

Dr. Kudel never makes you feel rushed, always takes all of the time you need her to. She is the definition of a family doctor, our whole family of 5 are patients of hers and it's like talking to a friend or family member because she knows each one of her patients so well. She genuinely remembers all of us and little details you'd never expect. There is no questioning how much she cares. We're so happy to have someone like her for us and our children as they grow up.
