I discovered my passion for women's health within my sculptural work and in my anthropological studies. As I found myself on the road to graduate school to study global midwifery culture, it occurred to me that I would rather become a midwife than study them. I haven't looked back since.

In the fall of 2000, I became a doula and then in 2004, a labor/delivery/postpartum nurse. I worked as a nurse for over a decade and was able to weave doula and nursing philosophies. As a midwife, I deeply value the journey patients and their families experience in birth, change, and sometimes in loss. In this season of my career, I strive to hold the time and space I share with patients and their families as sacred and see each interaction as an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow through the lifespan.

I am mother to two children that make my heart bloom and continue to inspire me every day.

My experience with Megan was great. Going over some of my birth preferences with her she made me feel very comfortable in assuring me on my birthing choices and the support I would receive from midwives. If I could choose I would love to have this provider there for my delivery.

The midwife was absolutely exceptional. She listened authentically and discussed several options with [...], presenting the pro's and con's of each. Even though I was in the room as well, [...] mother, she made direct eye contact and engaged [...] fully in the conversation, showing respect for [...] autonomy over her own body. [...] has fairly severe anxiety, and was in pain, and this midwife was able to make [...] feel heard, understood, and comfortable enough to make sound decisions about which approach she would like to take. It's hard to say that a trip to the gynecologist office while in pain was "great", but that's exactly how [...] described it.
