Jacob Privitera is a Surgical Physician Assistant within the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Division at the University of Rochester. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Jacob worked as a patient care technician in cardiology at Rochester General Hospital and interned as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehabilitation at United Memorial Memorial Center. His clinical year, as a physician assistant student, was completed primarily at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. He now maintains a leadership role at his current position and participates in committees at the University of Rochester, including the Opioid Task Force and Trauma MIPS team. He has completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology at The College at Brockport and went on to receive his Masters of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.
