David Pillinger joined the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in July 2018. He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina and completed Internal Medicine Residency at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Medical Center in Chapel Hill. He also completed his fellowship in Endocrinology at the UNC Medical Center. He practiced Endocrinology at Novant Health Endocrinology in Charlotte, NC for 6 years from 2012 until 2018.

Dr. Pillinger practices general endocrinology but has a special interest in Endocrine Ultrasound. He has held Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) since 2013 and is especially interested in thyroid nodules, parathyroid adenomas, and thyroid cancer.

This is the best endocrinologist office I've been to. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the doctor thoroughly listens and provides explanations in a manor which I can understand. I highly recommend Dr. Pillinger and his office staff
