My physician adjusted my DBS system for a positive change. My muscle groups took a few days to catch up with the new programming, but that went away and it has been great since.

[...] Both the provider and the fellow said (at different times) "we are sticking with you," which really makes me wonder - was there some alternative possibility which involved - not - sticking with me? I have tremendous respect for the provider's problem-solving skills and his expertise, and I know that if I ask for something specific he will address it directly. I love that. What I am missing from our communication is the sense that I, too, am "in the loop" when it comes to my care. I want to know where I can go and what I can read and what sources I should access to gain a better understanding of what is happening to me (and I don't mean the fizzy self-help and wellness journalism published by the big Parkinson's Foundations.) [...] I don't want to take up a lot of time; I just need to be pointed in the right direction.
