From a young age I have always been fascinated by the human body and I developed a love for physiology during college. I decided to pursue medical school to learn more about the body, and the pathophysiology of disease. I only applied to osteopathic medical schools because I loved the philosophy of treating the whole patient and the incorporation of hands-on manipulative medicine in treatment of many disease processes. I enjoyed my medical education in Blacksburg, VA and even more so my years of pediatric residency in the beautiful city of Charleston, SC. My husband and I decided to move back closer to family during my pediatric GI fellowship, and we happily landed ourselves in Rochester, NY.
I have fallen in love with variety of disorders within Pediatric GI, as well as the range in patient ages and developmental abilities. I greatly enjoy talking to children about the science behind their diagnosis and partnering with patients/parents during their treatment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family including my husband and two young kids. I enjoy golfing (I played competitively in my youth and received a college scholarship) but unfortunately do not play often anymore, cooking, and live music.
