Sarah Jaffe, MS NP-C is a Nurse Practitioner currently working at the University of Rochester Medical Center department of neurosurgery. She provides patient care to neurosurgical and neuro-oncology patients. As a Nurse Practitioner, she provides comprehensive care to patients with complex brain and spinal tumors, brain and spinal metastasis, complex spinal reconstruction, as well as general neurosurgical diseases of the brain and spine. She works with surgeon Dr. Kevin Walter, who is the Chief of Neurosurgery at UR Medicine's Highland Hospital as well as the Director of the URMC Brain and Spinal Tumor Program.

She completed her first Bachelor of Science degree in molecular genetics with a minor in philosophy at the University of Rochester School of Arts and Sciences in 2015. She then completed her second Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at the University of Rochester School of Nursing in 2016. She completed her Master of Science degree in nursing (Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner) in 2020.

During her time as a student, she was inducted into the Order of Omega Honor Society as well as the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. As a registered nurse, she worked in the surgical oncology unit (WCC5) at Strong Memorial Hospital. Prior to her current NP role in neurosurgery, she formerly worked at the URMC department of anesthesiology, serving as the lead APP for the Acute Pain Service consultation division. Throughout her time as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital, Sarah has taken on additional leadership roles involving precepting, orienting, education, research, and policy redesign.
