Allow doctors to feel like they can take 30 seconds to review their notes in a patient's chart prior to coming into the room. I don't want to feel like my PCP has no clue who I am, especially when I just saw them the month prior.

No the client and his history before speaking to him or her make sure that you deal with the problem at hand first then everything else is very annoying to have to go over your history with the doctor and then explain what happened all over again so they don't have any idea of what's going on with you [...] I think my provider is a good person maybe a little bit overwhelmed But I believe she'll get better. She still needs to recognize to listen to the patient and then she can help solve the patient's problem. Thank you.

Provider denied my mental/emotional health concerns, which I had intended to focus our visit on. [...] explained that she would not be comfortable making changes to my therapies or providing care for my chronic conditions without referring me to a specialist. When discussing my lab results, she gasped and expressed shock at my numbers, which I found incredibly unprofessional and discourteous. When I later cried out of frustration, she responded: "I know, this must feel very unfair." I explained very clearly that my response was not because of any perception of unfairness, but rather because my conditions have been continuously misdiagnosed and mismanaged [...], and that the experience of living with my conditions, plus navigating disintegrated systems and working with 6 or so providers over the past decade and STILL not having a clear path forward has been exhausting and traumatizing. I explained this very clearly, and expressed that my focus is on moving forward. When I received my visit notes and referrals, after a week and prompting on my behalf, my provider's notes indicated that I "became tearful when discussing my diagnosis" because "I do not understand why" I have my condition. She later writes that her counseling centered on the importance of treatment "regardless of the etiology," again implying focus on the source or reason for my condition. This is an inaccurate representation of the conversation that took place.

On occasions when I go to the office and ask with the doctor for some unexpected situation for example a urine infection the specialists do very little effort to help.

PCP could be more forthcoming about specifics which are relevant to her: e.g., home blood pressure readings which are of concern to her and which she wants to be reported to her before the next appointment, and how best to communicate with the office when there are emergent medical issues. When asked to clarify, she can be very concrete and clear, which is appreciated.

The provider I was given is clearly overwhelmed with the new work load and has been extremely careless in her profession towards myself and my family. Didnt listen to us, screwed up ordering my labs and then left me to scramble to deal with that fact.

I think you provide very standard, transactional care in which you focus on health problems mostly instead of understanding the full picture of a person's life. I'd say you need to change the name from "health care" to "disease care".

I was really hoping for better explanations about birth control options. My doctor pretty much stuck to telling me the information about the birth control that came from an info sheet she gave me (which I had read, and already knew the information she told me). She also questioned me about why I was skeptical about hormonal birth control. Shouldn't doctors be knowledgeable or refer patients to a more informational source if the patient has concerns and the doctor cannot give a well thought out, researched answer?
