“Caring for people who have heart conditions is very gratifying. Because of advances in cardiac surgery, I’m able to provide treatments for people with a variety of heart ailments, helping them live longer and more fulfilling lives.”

Areas of Expertise

• Aortic aneurysm and dissection surgery
• Complex valve surgery
• Hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy surgery
• Minimally invasive cardiac surgery
• Transcatheter heart valve procedure
• Treatment for heart valve disease
• Treatment for infectious endocarditis

I chose Cardiothoracic Surgery because I believe many heart and aortic diseases are surgically treatable and that patients may get back to normal life after surgery. Although some types of heart surgeries are challenging and technically demanding procedures for surgeons, I love to see patients who are able to breathe normally and walk after heart surgery. It is very rewarding for me when my patients come back to my office with big smiles after surgery.
Since I trained with pioneer surgeons in the country, I am highly skilled in cutting-edge transcatheter procedures, hybrid aortic arch surgery, complex valve surgery, treatment for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, coronary artery revascularization, complex heart-lung transplantation, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). I am confident that I can provide our patients with the best and the latest treatments for any type of heart condition and always take care of my patients as if they were my family.
