Dr. Schuppert attended the University of Richmond in Virginia for her undergraduate studies where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She later received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her Family Medicine residency at the University of Rochester Highland Family Medicine program.

In her free time Dr. Schuppert enjoys reading, cheering on Penn State football, cooking, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She grew up in Corning, NY, where her parents still live, and enjoys taking weekend trips to her hometown.

Everyone in this group is outstanding. The admin staff are always very pleasant; any requests for particular app't times are easily accommodated. Nursing staff are also very pleasant and insure that I can relay any special concerns. Dr Schuppert is excellent! Knows my medical history is always checks on any previous concerns I had. Excellent educator - explanations about anything new or unfamiliar are clear and understandable and she always checks to make sure I understand or have any other questions. If there are any changes in Rx or new meds prescribed, she provides sufficient information about why this Rx was chosen, how to take it and how it will help. Again, she always asks if I have any question and reminds me that I can call or message her if additional questions arise. I never feel rushed or that I can't raise concerns. She always coses by asking if we covered everything I may have wanted to address.

My former PCP actually examined me during any annual physical, such as listening to my heart and lungs, and palpatating different parts of the body. Now the trend is just to sit and talk. I really appreciate how "On Top" of the evidence and recommendations is Dr Schubbert. She has the data In her memory and does not go to the computer. She speaks directly with me. I greatly appreciate that Dr. Schubbert stays abreast of the latest Information. Recently, my OB ordered a DEXA scan. At this past visit, as I saw Dr. Schubbert, now and will see my OB is in January, I discussed the results of the DEXA. Dr. Schubbert knew, from memory, the range at which a patient would need medications. She showed me my results and carefully explained them and why I do not need another prescription.

Yes, Dr. Schuppert was instrumental on bringing me back after a month to check my BP again after the well visit in October. She wanted me to document home readings and bring the portable BP cuff to see If they matched the results taken in the office. So good call on her part to confirm that the portable cuff is calibrated and running pretty close to manual cuff taken by a medical professional.

This office is an absolute exemplar of what makes a great, patient centered practice. Reception staff always greet immediately and pleasantly - not only me - every patient who enters. Nursing staff are great. This visit DeeDee (Dee?) did vitals, checked RX list, BP, etc. Outstanding job - warm, pleasant, really listened and great sense of humor. Dr Shuppert is the best. She really listens to me, Pt ed geared to my level of understanding and I never feel rushed. Always leave knowing why there are any changes in treatment plan, changes in RX or interval for f/u. Truly feel we are partners in care.

Dr Schuppert, I am 70 years old and have seen many Doctors in my life, Dr Schuppert has to be among the best if not thee best I have seen. Friendly, straight forward and she listen to my concerns. I had a small glitch in my blood labs and she sent me a message on Saturday morning and Sunday Morning to explain what was going on and ordered a new test. I went to to the lab In the morning, Dr Schuppert messaged me that night and set forth a treatment plan. I have never had a Doctor follow up as she did. Am so glad that she is my Doctor!!!!!!

Dr Schuppert is a real exemplar of what makes a great provider. Great communication - she really listens to what I say and answers my questions or concerns, making sure she addressed my issue. Excellent job with pt education - I leave an app't knowing what my current status is with any dx, any changes in tx or rx. If any tests are ordered she has explained why she recommends the test and what we are looking to learn. Frequently has offers recommendations on other resources I can access. Never leaves an app't without checking to see if she has addressed all my questions. Very open, non-judgemental attitude; easy to talk to. I drive 45 min to get to this office - It is definitely worth the trip. RN who did intake this visit (sorry- didn't get her name - she is a temp) is a real keeper. Relaxed, friendly, efficient without making me feel rushed.

Her communication skills are excellent - she really listens to what I say and it is not unusual that there are follow-up questions for more detailed information. I never leave an appointment with her without feeling that we have designed the care plan together. She is also excellent with patient education - geared to my level of understanding and she always checks to see if I have any other questions or need further explanation. If a new RX is ordered, I understand why a particular drug was chosen and what the plan for taking it will be. The same is true for referrals to another provider - I know why the referral is made and what the plan is. At subsequent appointments, there is f/u on new meds or the referral. So vey pleased to have Dr Schuppert as my PCP.

Listen to patient when they describe side-effects from medication. Doctor didn't want to believe me about side-effects because the prescription didn't indicate my side-effects. Side effects are caused by the prescription because I stopped taking for 3+days now & the symptoms are gone. Doctor didn't want to prescribe another medication that has less side-effects. [...]

I've had some very unpleasant experiences with doctors in the past, but Dr. Schuppert was by FAR the best doctor I've interacted with. She was friendly, professional, empathetic, and made an effort to connect. She listened to what I had to say and provided great advice and recommendations. I don't have to worry about dreading going to the doctor's office anymore.

To clarify, this was my 1st New Patient appointment with Dr Schuppert. She ordered labs, referred for colonoscopy, dermatology & dexascan & scheduled for wellness follow up to review results. She had access to all info in My Chart, but records were requested from my former pcp.
