My research focuses on the intersection of repro-metabolic and obesity medicine, aiming to understand how reproductive hormones influence energy balance and weight regulation in women. Specifically, I aspire to help guide medical providers in identifying individuals at risk of weight gain due to hormonal contraceptives and to provide guidance on effective weight management for premenopausal women with overweight or obesity.

I previously completed a study investigating the effects of combined hormonal contraceptives on weight loss and weight loss maintenance in premenopausal women enrolled in a behavioral weight loss trial. Moving forward, my research aims to examine the impact of synthetic reproductive hormones on body weight, body composition, eating behaviors, appetite, and physical activity.

In addition to my primary focus, my clinical research interests span across areas such as diabetes, PCOS, metabolic bone disease, and medical education.
