Dr. Van Baardwijk has been wonderful in managing my chronic pain condition. Since I started seeing her in November, she's seen me for monthly follow-ups to check in on progress, medications, and update my treatment. In our first appointment, she talked with me for over 30 minutes to get a good understanding of my history, answered all my questions, discussed several treatment options, gave me tissues when I cried, and asked me again if she had answered all of my questions. As of today, we discovered what was causing my pain, I've utilized several diagnostic and treatment methods, and I've been virtually pain free for a couple weeks now. As someone who experiences chronic pain, it can be anxiety-provoking to see a new healthcare provider because I don't know if I'll be believed and treated with compassion or treated like a "drug seeker" and offered little to no assistance. Dr. Van Baardwijk has been nothing but empathetic and respectful and I have already recommended her to others.

I did not call my provider when I experienced some pain and discomfort a week earlier than my appointment. Nor did I contact them when I tested positive for Covid. I was surprised that the provider did not suggest I should call if I have more discomfort and/or pain again.

I moved here 18 months ago and had to go out of town to get care from a doctor-level female PCP who accepted my insurance and was accepting new patients at that time. I'm very glad I was able to switch provider's to someone in town last month, and that Dr Van Baardwijk understands and Is on top of all my healthcare needs. My care seems to be coordinated and arranged so much more smoothly now. I didn't need to call to follow-up on anything in the 6 weeks between my first appointment and this one, because everything that I expected to be done was done, and communication was excellent regarding new things that came up in between.
