It was a professional and wonderful experience

This was my first visit to this practice. I had heard good things about this practice and so anticipated a good experience. [...] She didn't ask the probing questions I anticipated her to in order to learn more. [...] She could have at least asked some pertinent questions once I volunteered the information about my health history and medications and she didn't. She seemed to breeze through "the basics", want me to get lab work and want to end the appointment, but made sure to tell me to make a follow up appointment. [...] During my visit I reviewed my medications with the doctor. [...] This visit left me feeling like a number and as if I had just made a big mistake switching providers. I had been with my previous provider 10 years and only switched because of an hour commute to their office. I was hoping for a provider that showed genuine interest in my health and well being. What I got was a feeling they were unprepared, disinterested in learning more than the bare minimum about my health history and more interested in getting through the appointment and making sure I made another appointment. I did not make a follow up appointment as I am still contemplating switching back to my original provider after this appointment. [...] I don't expect anything abnormal from a visit with a provider, no special treatment or extra time. But what I do expect is to feel like they show genuine concern and are thorough. I did not get that experience with this visit.
