Dr. Bedrin received his medical degree from New York Medical College. He comes to the University of Rochester after completing his general surgery residency at University of Vermont Medical Center, Burlington. Dr. Bedrin completed fellowship training in Surgical Education Research with the Association for Surgical Education as well as a Surgical Simulation Fellowship at the Clinical Simulation Laboratory, University of Vermont, Burlington. Dr. Bedrin most recently completed a Fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Oregon Health & Science University, Portland.

Dr. Bedrin chose Trauma and Acute Care Surgery for the opportunities it offers to practice a wide range of surgical technique. He is driven by the ability to take care of a wide range of surgical illnesses and having the toolset to fix them.

A Vermont native, Dr Bedrin prides himself on his inherent grit and commitment to his patients. He firmly believes in a patient centric approach and that the focus of every innovation and technique must be on helping patients to heal and recover.
